Will adding an email address to my address book keep it out of my spam folder?

Mail from a particular recipient that I trust is being filtered into my spam folder. Will adding them to my address book keep them from being marked as spam, or do I have to manually setup a filter?
For further clarification, the address is not listed under my blocked addresses.

It should if not click options top right of your mail box then click block addresses; find the email in the box ,highlight and click remove block.
also,
1. Sing-in yahoo mail
2. Click options (right - top corner)
3. Goto “Blocked addresses”, and remove their email id from list , if it is already present there.
and,
open their email in bulk mail folder, and click “not spam”
I would put the address in my address book first and if it did not work then set up a filter. A lot of times just entering the address will work. Good luck!!!
